2020 BFA Acting Class in Conversation: Natasha Sinha and Victor Vazquez

Brooklyn College's 2020 BFA Acting Class is joined by two visionary leaders in the field to talk about the crises and transformations currently enveloping the American Theater. Natasha Sinha is an off-Broadway producer & dramaturg who specializes in new plays and musicals featuring historically underrepresented groups. In January of 2021, she will step into the role of Associate Artistic Director at Playwrights Horizons. Victor Vazquez is the Founder & CEO of X Casting NYC, a casting agency rooted in an anti-racist ethos. Conversation moderated by BFA showcase coordinator and Brooklyn College acting faculty member Graham Schmidt. Panel convened by Patrick Sabongui, BFA Acting Program Head at Brooklyn College.

2020 BFA Acting Class in Conversation: Luis Alfaro

Brooklyn College's 2020 BFA Acting Class is joined MacArthur “Genius” Fellow, Luis Alfaro. Mr. Alfaro has been working in theatre, performance, poetry and journalism since the early 1980s. A multi-disciplined artist, he is also a director, curator, producer, educator and community organizer. A Chicano born and raised in the Pico-Union district of downtown Los Angeles, Alfaro is the recipient of a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation fellowship, popularly known as a “genius grant,” awarded to people who have demonstrated expertise and exceptional creativity in their respective fields. Alfaro spent over two decades in the Los Angeles poetry community, and toured North and Latin America as a Performance Artist for over 10 years. Conversation moderated by BFA showcase coordinator and Brooklyn College acting faculty member Graham Schmidt. Panel convened by Patrick Sabongui, BFA Acting Program Head at Brooklyn College.

 Conversation: Greg Berlanti

Brooklyn College is thrilled to welcome one of the most prolific and talented producers working in Hollywood today: Greg Berlanti. Convened as part of the Brooklyn College BFA Class of 2020's Showcase Conversation Series, this interview is conducted by BFA Acting Program Head Patrick Sabongui, who plays Chief David Singh on the Berlanti-produced television series, The Flash.
